Description:

WinfrGUI is a graphical front end for Microsoft's Windows File Recovery (winfr) utility that translates the command-line tool's capabilities into a point-and-click interface. It focuses on recovering deleted files by exposing the underlying winfr options through a simplified workflow, while relying on the CLI tool for actual scanning and recovery.

Purpose: simplifies access to winfr's recovery functions so users can choose source and destination drives, configure scans, and launch recovery without composing command-line arguments.

Features: straightforward selection of drives and output folders, options for selecting scan mode and file-type filters, progress reporting and basic logging of recovery sessions.

Usability: presents common recovery parameters in a clearer layout, lowering the barrier for users unfamiliar with the command line; individual operations still reflect the complexity of file recovery.

Limitations: functionality and results mirror the capabilities and constraints of Windows File Recovery; successful recovery depends on file system state, time since deletion, and required administrative privileges.
